According to Dr. Crawford, the cause of death was arteriosclerotic cardiovascular-renal disease secondary to uremia. She was 71 years old at the time of death, a widowed housewife and a resident of the Sandy Hook Community in Walthall County, Mississippi. She was the daughter of Ned McCain and Ann Turnage. The informant at the time of death was Mrs. Delhie Sarrell (her daughter, Delhia Stogner Sorrell).
